About the 1/12 Prodigy Kit
Chassis
The Prodigy 12 is built on a carpet-specific chassis combining super lightweight, rigid aluminum with premium carbon fiber components. The main chassis includes an aluminum battery tray, 7075-T6 aluminum front plate, and heat-treated steel rear flex and pivot plates, providing an ideal balance of strength and flexibility. The forward servo mount position allows extra space for electronics and promotes a clean, efficient setup. A front carbon plate with a 3-bolt keyed mounting system ensures precise alignment and durability. Adjustable body posts and battery hold-down O-rings optimize weight distribution, resulting in a high-performance, tweak-free carpet racing machine.
Drivetrain
Engineered for maximum efficiency and durability, the Prodigy 12 features a direct drive spool with an extremely lightweight titanium axle and a rear aluminum axle tube with alignment mark. This combination ensures robust performance under high-stress racing conditions. The drivetrain is compatible with both stock and modified classes, delivering seamless power transfer and precise control. The addition of a 68T TC Spur Gear further enhances reliability and performance.
Suspension
The Prodigy 12 introduces advanced suspension technology with a sliding kingpin-style front end and a multi-axis rear suspension system. The front suspension utilizes 5° heat-treated steel kingpins with electroplate coating and Pro Kingpin Adjusters for rapid preload tuning. Internal grease grooves in the front steering block bushings maintain consistent damping, while 4.6-pound front springs and 2.7-pound rear springs optimize handling. The rear suspension allows adjustable roll center and roll axis changes, isolating roll versus bump characteristics for superior track performance.
